How to use XTool V-A-G401 V401 for Throttle Body Adaptation?
Show how to use Xtool V-A-G401 V401 code reader to do a throttle body adaptation ,test it on 2002 Audi TT
Now, firstly we want to jump into “Diagnosis Systems”.
Then “Common Systems” and “Engine”.
And preconditions doing this “the first is you need the ignition switched on but the engine not running, you need to have the engine coolant temperature between 5 and 100 degree Celsius, the air intake temperature has to be less than 100 degree Celsius. I mean on most days you are probably flying on those two and the supply voltage of the ECU has to be above 11 volts.
Now you can actually check that using the code reader itself, if we pop down to “Data block measurement”.
And we choose block number 4.
We can see that the Terminal voltage here is 11.97, we will be fine with that.
Alright, what we need to do actually do the adaptation, let’s check there is no control codes running “Read Fault Codes”, okay there is nothing, so we are good to go.
And we pop down to “Basic settings”, and on my car varies depending on whether your fiber wire or cable or what, but on my car is block Number 60.
I pop into there and it will tell me adaptation is running, you can see the sensors readings changing, I’ll hear a couple of little clicks, you just have to leave this here for around 30 seconds.
There we go, there is 30 seconds pass, so I can now come out of here and that’s the adaptation done.
Hope this was useful.
XTOOL V-A-G401 V401 OBD2 scanner did a great job! Right?
